Operas at Lyrical Opera Theater

The Renaissance...a time of unprecedented artistry and invention. From this period, we got the Sistine chapel, the works of Da Vinci, Donatello, Raphael. The knowledge of great explorers such as Vespucci and Verrazzano. The science of Galileo, Fallopio, Tartaglia, and more.

Of course, during this great time came the rise of opera. Puccini, Verdi, and Monteverdi wove great tapestries of emotion from the twin threads of music and language. These great works of art made people across Europe laugh, fall in love, smile, cry, and rejoice. In effect, through their art, they became immortal. As legendary as any fictional hero you'd care to name.

Join us as we revel in the beauties that were birthed in that great period. Using modern technology for scenery and painstakingly translated captions so you can understand every single moment, our productions carry a level of understanding and technology previously unheard of in the opera industry. You will laugh, fall in love, smile, cry, and rejoice just as the people of the renaissance did hundreds of years ago!
