Falstaff

• Opera in three acts, composed by Giuseppe Verdi

Synopsis:

The action takes place in Windsor during the reign of Henry IV (1399-1413). The plot revolves around the thwarted, farcical, efforts of the fat knight, Sir John Falstaff, to seduce two married women to gain access to their husbands' wealth.

Act 1, Part 1 - Inside the Garter Inn: Sir John Falstaff, an aging, fat rogue, is drinking with his two henchmen, Bardolfo and Pistola. Dr. Caius bursts in accusing Falstaff of burgling his house and Bardolfo of picking his pocket. They deny it and eject him. Falstaff thinks up a clever scheme for financial gain. He decides to seduce two wealthy married women, Alice Ford and Meg Page, at the same time to get access to their money. He writes two identical letters in which he professes his love for each of the women and dispatches his page to deliver them.

Act 1, Part 2 – Ford's garden: Alice and Meg show each other Falstaff's "wicked" letters and discover that they are identical. Together with Mistress Quickly and Alice's daughter, Nannetta, they vow to punish Falstaff. Meanwhile, Ford has been warned of the letters by Bardolfo and Pistola. All three are thirsty for revenge, and are supported by Dr. Caius and Fenton, a young gentleman. Fenton and Nannetta are in love and find a moment to be alone. The women return on one side of the stage and the men on the other all plotting revenge on Falstaff.

Act 2, Part 1 - Inside the Garter Inn: Falstaff is alone. Bardolfo and Pistola, now in the pay of Ford, enter and pretend to beg for forgiveness. They introduce Mistress Quickly who delivers an invitation to go to Alice's house that afternoon between the hours of two and three. Quickly leaves and Falstaff celebrates his potential success. Ford, disguised as "Signor Fontana," is now introduced. He feigns admiration of Alice and offers money to the fat knight to seduce her as a prelude to his own advances. Falstaff accepts, divulging that Alice has already agreed to meet him at two o'clock – the hour when Ford is always absent from home. Falstaff goes off to change into his best clothes. Ford is consumed with jealousy. When Falstaff returns, they leave together with elaborate displays of mutual courtesy.

Act 2, Part 2 – A room in Ford's house: The three women plot their strategy. Alice, after assuring Nanetta that she will not have to marry Dr. Caius as Ford is demanding, prepares the room for Falstaff's visit. Falstaff arrives. He attempts to woo Alice but is cut short when Quickly rushes in warning of Meg's approach. Falstaff is forced to hide. Meg rushes in warning of Ford's arrival. Ford bursts in with a band of men to catch his wife's lover and starts searching. In the meantime Fenton and Nannetta have hidden behind a screen. The men hear the sound of a kiss behind it and assume it is Falstaff with Alice, but instead they find the young lovers. Ford orders Fenton to leave. Falstaff had been forced to hide in a hamper where he is almost suffocating. While the men resume the search of the house, Alice orders her servants to throw the hamper through the window into the River Thames, where Falstaff is compelled to endure the jeers of the crowd. Ford realizes his error in suspecting his wife.

Act 3, Part 1 – A square outside the Garter Inn: The drenched Falstaff orders a glass of warm wine and curses the world. Quickly enters and delivers another invitation to meet Alice. Falstaff wants nothing to do with it, but she persuades him. For mystery's sake, he is to meet Alice at midnight at Herne's Oak in Windsor Forest dressed up as Herne the Hunter. Quickly and Falstaff go inside the inn. Alice, who has been eavesdropping with Meg, Nannetta, Ford, Caius and Fenton, prepares her accomplices for the coming evening's masquerade - Falstaff's final punishment. Dressed as supernatural creatures, they will ambush and torment him at midnight. Ford privately plans a separate plot to marry Dr. Caius to Nannetta. Quickly overhears, and quietly vows to thwart Ford's scheme.

Act 3, Part 2 – Windsor Forest: Fenton arrives at the oak tree and sings of music and kisses. Nannetta joins him. The women arrive with a host of villagers disguised as forest nymphs. They instruct them in their roles, then hide. Falstaff enters with antlers tied onto his head. He meets Alice and attempts to seduce her but is interrupted by a distant cry that nymphs are approaching. Alice runs away and Falstaff tries to hide. The nymphs come out and enact a fairy ritual. They discover Falstaff and torment him. He soon realizes his tormentors are human and accepts his punishment with good humor. Ford announces that a wedding shall ensue. The disguised Dr. Caius and the Queen of the Fairies come forward to be married. Alice asks Ford to give the same blessing for a second disguised couple as well, which he does. Everyone unmasks. Ford finds he has unwittingly married Fenton to Nanetta and Dr. Caius to Bardolfo. Ford admits that he, too, has been duped and blesses his daughter's marriage. All join in a fugue singing that everything in the world is a jest.

About:

Opera composer Giuseppe Verdi and playwright William Shakespeare are two of the all-time greats in their fields. Put them together and you have operatic gold. Verdi's voice finds its most brilliant expression in this delightful comedy. The work has a score that is intriguing, exciting and funny, and the libretto is filled with twists and turns. The character Falstaff made his first appearance in Shakespeare's Henry IV history plays, and quickly became a favorite of Queen Elizabeth I. Verdi's Falstaff employs the memorable character to incite a comedic plot taken from another of the Bard's classic plays, The Merry Wives of Windsor. Written in 1893 when the composer was in his 80s, it is the culmination of Verdi's life work.

Hailed as having a "rich baritone voice" and being described as a "truly… talented musician and performer," Hayden Höglund is pleased to return to LOT as Zuniga in Carmen. His favorite stage credits include Mr. Todd in Sweeney Todd, Silvio in Pagliacci, Betto in Gianni Schicchi, Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, and Seneca in L'incoronazione di Poppea. Höglund recently completed a season at Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre where he performed in the ensembles of Lohengrin, Aida, and Our Town; as well as in Oliver! as Mr. Sowerberry, gaining him praise for "[springing] the show forward with [his] physical comedy and lively singing."

Baritone Christopher Clayton is a rising star in the opera world, boasting a rich portfolio with appearances at renowned companies like Utah Opera, Portland Opera, and Sarasota Opera. Recent roles include Alvaro in Florencia en el Amazonas and Fredirich Bhaer in Adamo's Little Women. His versatility extends to Tonio in Pagliacci, Conte di Luna in Il Trovatore, and Marcello in La bohème. An accomplished concert singer, Clayton has performed as a soloist in various works, including Händel's Messiah and Bernstein's Mass with the Utah Symphony. With degrees from the University of Utah and Manhattan School of Music, he has garnered prizes from prestigious competitions like the Gerda Lissner Foundation and the Marian Anderson Vocal Competition. Upcoming engagements feature his role debuts as Frank in Die Fledermaus and Rigoletto, completing his portrayal of Verdi's pivotal operas.

Chris is an Utah native who graduated with his BA in Classical Voice from Westminster College in 2015. In 2017, he earned his MM also in Classical Voice from The Manhattan School of Music under Metropolitan Opera legend James Morris. Previous role highlights include Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus, Escamillo in Carmen, Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Schaunard in La Bohème, Lord Savage in Jekyll & Hyde, and various operatic, musical theatre, and jazz scenes and concerts in Utah & New York City.

Matthew Thomas Castleton (Salt Lake City, Utah) is delighted to appear in LOT's new production of Falstaff. Mr. Castleton has a large swath of operatic experience, including several roles with Lyrical Opera Theater: Dancairo/Morales in Carmen (2024), Colline in La Boheme (2023), Tonio in Pagliacci (2023), and Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor (2022). Mr. Castleton also appeared in Emmanuel Chabrier's L'Étoile (Vegas City Opera 2017). Mr. Castleton was a young artist at the 2009 La Musica Lirica Opera Young Artist Program (Novafeltria, Italy). He holds both Bachelors (2010) and Masters (2014) Degrees in Music-Vocal Performance from the University of Utah. When he is not performing, Matthew also works as a Order Fulfillment Associate at Lowe's while making his home in Midvale, Utah.

DR. JACQUELYN ABBOTT, soprano, has loved singing from a very young age and began her vocal training not far from here in Kaysville, Utah. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from BYU, she felt singing was her true calling and went on to receive a Doctor of Music in Voice Performance with distinction from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Jacquelyn enjoys teaching at Utah State and maintains a private studio with her husband, Marc Abbott. She loves to perform and direct as often as she can and recently appeared as Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus and Phoebe in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder.

Felicia Lundie is a lyric soprano from Farmington, New Mexico, with degrees from Northern Arizona University (BM), and the University of Utah (MM). She has had a passion for singing from the early age of 6. Felicia has performed with the Utah Opera, Utah Opera Chorus, University of Utah's Lyric Opera Ensemble , West Jordan Symphony, as well as Lyrical Opera Theater. She has also performed internationally in Italy. She is an active recitalist and loves to perform in many venues. Her most recent roles include Madame Butterfly in Madama Butterfly, Violetta in La Traviata, Alice in Falstaff, Suor Angelica in Suor Angelia, Beth in Little Women, The Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Dido in Dido and Aeneas, and scenes from La Boheme (Mimi) and Cosi fan Tutte (Fiordiligi). Felicia loves to perform as Little Red with Lyrical Opera Theater in their current school outreach program of Little Red Riding Hood. She and her husband Steve live in West Jordan and are proud parents of their amazing daughter, Elise. Felicia currently spends her days as a reading aide at Channing Hall.

Deborah is excited to make her debut in a lead role with Lyrical Opera Theater. She has recently performed in Hunchback of Notre Dame as Florika, various productions in the Utah Opera Chorus and Lyrical Opera Theater Chorus, Dorothee in UVAA's Cendrillon, and Lady Beconsfield in Draper Historic Theatre's Jekyll and Hyde. She looks forward to playing the role of Adele in Die Fledermaus next February with Lyrical Opera. Outside of evening performances she is a piano and voice teacher as well as a piano tuner. She enjoys mountain biking, four-wheeling, camping, hiking, and crocheting. She'd like to give a big thanks to her husband for all his support in her vocal health and performances.

A Utah native, Rebekah loves singing onstage. Rebekah has a MM degree from BYU and a BM degree from Snow College. Rebekah teaches private lessons at Daybreak School of Music. Her favorite roles have been Luisa (The Fantasticks), Johanna (Sweeney Todd), Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls), Casilda (The Gondoliers), Mother (Amahl and the Night Visitors), and Fatmé (Zémire et Azor). She sang with the Utah Opera Chorus in Die Zauberflöte, and was principal understudy and background vocalist in Kurt Bestor's The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. When she's not teaching or performing, Rebekah enjoys spending time with her husband Devan.

Originally from North Carolina, tenor Alex Harrelson is pursuing a DMA at the University of Utah. Recent roles at the U include Rodolfo in La bohème, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Ferrando in scenes from Cosi fan tutte, Anthony in Sweeney Todd, and leading roles in new operas A.L.I.C.E. by Amy Scurria and A Christmas Carol by Leavitt and Buck. With Lyrical Opera Theater he has performed as El Remendado in Carmen, Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi. Other recent performances include Messiah with the Nebo Holiday Chorus and Orchestra and several ambitious recitals featuring Wolf's Italienisches Liederbuch and Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin. Alex recently directed a production of Vaughan Williams' opera Riders to the Sea.

Jacob Kenison, tenor, is thrilled to rejoin Lyrical Opera Theater. Trained by Lawrence Gee, former Assistant Conductor with the New York City Opera, Jacob has built a love for classical and opera music. He has performed extensively in musical theatre productions across the greater Salt Lake area and recently returned from studying at the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. A three-time MTNA national finalist, he earned third place in the Young Artist division in 2023. He recently placed third in the NATS National Student Auditions Advanced Classical category. Jacob is excited to continue to bring his passion for storytelling and music to the operatic stage with Lyrical Opera Theater.

Cynthia Harris is a dynamic mezzo-soprano from Detroit and Atlanta, based in Salt Lake City. A proud Spelman College alumna, she is pursuing graduate vocal studies at the University of Utah. She has sung the roles of The Duchess (A.L.I.C.E.), Aphrodite (Protectress), Mrs. Cratchit (A Christmas Carol), and La Badessa (Suor Angelica). She has premiered contemporary works in Chicago and Atlanta, and performs with U Opera and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Known for her rich tone and expressive style, she is passionate about music that uplifts underrepresented voices and often shares her artistry at community events and cultural celebrations.

Paula Sofía Nesticó is excited to perform with The Lyrical Opera Theater as Meg Page in Falstaff after appearing as Mercedes in Carmen Inside Out at Kingsbury Hall in January 2025. She holds a Master's from Loyola University New Orleans and a Bachelor's from Union University. Past roles include Madame de la Haltière (Cendrillon), Zweite Dame and Dritte Knabe (Die Zauberflöte), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), and the Nursemaid (Street Scene). Paula is passionate about Latin American art song and recently organized several recitals in Salt Lake City. When not singing, she enjoys hiking, traveling and learning languages.

Erin Stocks holds vocal performance degrees from Wheaton College and Roosevelt University in Chicago, where she studied with famed soprano Judith Haddon. She currently sings with the Utah Symphony Chorus and studies with Dr. Isaac Hurtado at Utah Valley University.

Sam Plumb is excited to be performing for the first time with Lyrical Opera Theater. In May 2025 he earned his Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Utah. His Summer 2025 performing season was spent as a Resident Artist at Teatro Nuovo, an opera company based in NJ that focuses on period-accurate presentations of the classic Bel Canto repertoire. When he's not singing opera, Sam enjoys video games, playing piano, reading poetry, studying Italian, and camping. He has taught private voice/piano lessons for 3+ years, which is his dream career! My name is Johnny Richardson. I'm a sophomore at Utah State University majoring in Vocal and Guitar Performance. I've loved music my entire life—starting guitar at 8, violin at 10, and voice at 14. I've since added ukulele, bass, banjo, and mandolin. I fell in love with singing in high school show choir and went on to play Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Frank Sr. in Catch Me If You Can. At USU, I've understudied Gleb and Dmitry in Anastasia and Collatinus in The Rape of Lucretia. I hope to teach voice at the collegiate level.

Michael can often be found singing, either at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark in Salt Lake City, with the Utah Sacred Harp Singers, or with friends singing Renaissance polyphony for fun. In 2024, he sang in the chorus for Opera Contempo's premier of Le Roman de Silence. In 2023, he joined singers from St. Mary's Catholic Church (Park City) to sing Josquin's Missa Pange Lingua and joined singers from St. Paul's (Park City) and elsewhere to sing Faure's Requiem. When he is not singing, he can be found working for The University of Utah or wandering the foothills and cemeteries of Salt Lake City.

Sarah Seamons, a native of Ogden, Utah, developed her passion for music and performance through community theater and participation in university choirs. She has performed with the Utah Oratorio Society and currently studies under Lynnette Owens. Sarah's operatic roles include Giovanna in Rigoletto and covering the role of Suzuki in Lyrical Opera Theater's production of Madama Butterfly. She has appeared as a soloist at Lyrical Opera Theater's 2019 Masquerade Party and at Salt Lake City's Festa Italiana. Sarah has also performed in the ensembles of La Traviata, Falstaff, Carmen, and Die Fledermaus with Lyrical Opera Theater.

Scarlett Seamons is a talented young musician with a deep love for singing and playing instruments. At just 12 years old, she excels in both vocal performance and playing the piano and ukulele. Scarlett's passion for music has been a driving force in her life, and she's dedicated countless hours to developing her skills. Her upcoming role in Falstaff will mark her debut in the world of opera, taking on a new challenge that highlights her growing talent and versatility.

Michelle Mohlman makes her operatic debut in Die Fledermaus with Lyrical Opera Theater. Michelle is an accomplished local vocalist with a rich musical background and a passion for storytelling through song. Michelle is a cherished performer in the local music community, captivating audiences in concerts, recitals and choral works. While this marks her first foray into opera, Michelle is no stranger to the stage, and she is deeply honored to share the experience with such a talented cast and crew.

Anna Davis is a mezzo-soprano pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Utah State University. She has performed roles such as Bianca in The Rape of Lucretia and Un pâtre in L'enfant et les Sortilèges. Anna is a recipient of the Schmidt High School Encouragement Award and the NATS First Place Award (Central Utah Chapter). She has appeared in a Carnegie Hall masterclass and concert and brings skills in piano, dance, Spanish, and costuming to her work.

Kristie is excited and grateful to be performing with Lyrical Opera Theater a second time. While Kristie was heavily involved in music and drama in high school, Kristie has spent the last several years with her 4 children and is thrilled to be coming back to the stage, this time performing with her daughter! A Cache Valley native, Kristie loves getting outside with family and friends. Kristie would tell anyone to follow their dreams and never stop improving themselves, especially when it's scary.

Addison Israelsen loves acting. This is her first time in an opera, and she is very excited. This is her sixth performance. She played 'Swartzy' in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and sang several solos in a group singing class, with parts such as Mother Gothel and an evil stepsister from Roger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Along with acting and musicals she loves singing, music and the violin.

Lauren grew up singing with her four older brothers and is excited to get to perform with her daughter in Falstaff. Lauren performed in the chorus of Die Fledermaus with lyrical Opera Theater earlier this year. In high school, she performed with Madrigals, concert choir, All-State Choir, and in the chorus of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In college, she sang with University of Utah Institute Singers. Lauren completed a Masters degree in public health in 2019, and is the mother of four rambunctious children. She works as a full-time data analyst doing healthcare IT research.

Genevieve is excited to be in her first production with Lyrical Opera Theater alongside her mom. She is in fifth grade and has three younger brothers. She loves reading, drawing, running, swimming, and writing stories. Genevieve has been playing piano for five years and just started playing the violin. Genevieve has a big personality and great sense of humor, and brought down the house telling jokes in her school talent show.

Smera Nair has been studying vocal and piano since 2019. She has performed at the Italian Festival and appeared in renowned operas such as Tosca, Carmen, Gianni Schicchi, Pagliacci, and La Bohème. She is also a proud member of her school choir. Passionate about languages, she enjoys singing in English, Latin, Italian, French, and Hindi. Outside of music, Smera loves reading, swimming, building LEGO creations, and playing with her dog, Buddy.

Nikki Scott is excited to be participating in her very first opera! She studied vocal performance at the University of Utah from 2003 – 2005 and was a member of the University of Utah Concert Chorale during that time. Nikki was a member of the Westminster College Women's Show Choir from 2000 – 2003 and performed with the ensemble of My Fair Lady at the Scera Shell theater in 2005. She has served in various musical calling within the LDS Church and has participated in numerous community choirs, taking on special performances and soloist assignments.

Adria Scott is a versatile performer with ample musical experience. She has played notable roles such as Katherine Plumber in Newsies Jr. (2022), Baker's Wife in Into the Woods Jr. (2021), and Maleficent in Descendants (2021). Adria has been a soloist and ensemble singer at various community events, with a performance history dating back to 2011. She was a member of the Salem Singers APA show choir, and has played the violin, flute, and piano. She is excited to be a part of her first opera and is grateful for the opportunity to increase her experience and versatility as a performer.

Ryker Scott is a talented young performer with a diverse musical background. He has played notable roles such as Motel in Fiddler on the Roof Jr. (2025), Lefou in Beauty & The Beast Jr. (2024), Davey in Newsies Jr. (2022), and Jack in Into the Woods Jr. (2021). Ryker has been a soloist in various community productions and has sung in ensembles and solos since 2014. He enjoys playing multiple musical instruments including guitar, trumpet, and piano. He has been a member of his school choir and is known for his enthusiasm and vocal talent.

Anna Roelofs is a versatile performer with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Theatre minor from the University of Utah. She has appeared in productions ranging from Sweeney Todd and A Midsummer Night's Dream to Amahl & the Night Visitors, Gianni Schicchi, and Suor Angelica. Her work spans theatre, opera, and film, including appearances on BYUtv's Studio C and Hallmark's Love in the Limelight. With training in voice, acting, and dance, Anna brings a dynamic presence to both stage and screen.

Jesse Toftum is a composer, vocalist, and plays several musical instruments. He started studying music theory on his own at 16. By midway through high school his band director was deferring to Jesse to answer other students. He studied music composition for four years at Snow College, where he learned his love for Opera. Jesse is now a Junior at the University of Utah studying Computer Science. This is Jesse's fourth consecutive season with Lyrical Opera. He sang the Duke in their production of Rigoletto and Remendado in Carmen. He is happy to be working again under the direction of Lynnette Owens and with this stellar cast.

Jaron Henderson is a voice student at Utah State University. He started performing in choirs when he was in middle school, and began performing solo and in theatre 2 years ago when he enrolled at USU. He participated in the USU Opera Theatre's production of The Toxic Avenger, as well as the opera double feature of Rusalke and L'Enfant, and a variety show of musical theatre scenes including scenes from Sweeney Todd, Assassins, Into the Woods, and other popular musicals.

Jake Hendriksen has long had a love of music and performing. Described as "remarkably captivating" with "charisma and powerful vocals", role highlights include Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Daddy Warbucks in Annie, and Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. After appearing in Lyrical Opera Theater's Die Fledermaus, Jake is excited to return to the stage with LOT for Falstaff. Jake and his wife Nicole have been married for 21 years, with 4 wonderful children. They love hiking, camping, and traveling together. Having his children join him in theatrical productions and watching their growth as people and performers has been a great joy. In addition to theater, Jake sings and plays keyboards with a rock cover band and sings in an a cappella quartet.

Josh is a passionate music educator and performer and is so excited to join Lyrical Opera Theater for this show! He graduated from Utah Valley University and has been awarded many honors including a multi-year scholarship based on vocal performance, and the Performing Arts Award of Merit in Music Education. During his time studying, Josh has taught piano and voice lessons and has served as Assistant Conductor for the UVU Men's Choir, UVU Chamber Choir, and the Wasatch Chorale, performing around the community and out of state, including a performance at Carnegie Hall. He has also made his professional vocal debut in the Noorda Center's production of Puccini's La Boheme. Josh currently lives with his wife Kelsey and their children in Payson, UT and is serving as the choir director at Payson High School.

Carly Schaub lives in SLC, where she also completed her M.F.A. at the University of Utah in Modern Dance. Before SLC, she lived in ND, dancing and serving as Outreach Coordinator for Northern Plains Dance. She also has a B.F.A. in Theatre/Dance from the University of Wyoming. Carly is an adjunct for Salt Lake Community College, and Westminster College, and teaches Modern and Ballet at Wasatch Arts Center. She teaches Dance for Parkinson's for UofU's Skagg's Wellness Center and RDT. She has choreographed for Deseret Experimental Opera, Snow College, and Cache Valley Civic Ballet, Northern Plains Dance and teaches Baroque and Renaissance dance. Carly directs Dance Balletti, an early Ballet reconstruction ensemble and she also dances with Municipal Ballet.

Originally from West Virginia, Cassie began her training at the Mid Ohio Valley Ballet under the direction of Suzy Gunter. Upon graduation, she moved to Virginia where she received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Radford University's dance program. During her time at Radford, Cassie had the opportunity to train and perform in various ballet and contemporary works and was able to choreograph several of her own pieces. Cassie also performed in The Roanoke Ballet Theatre's production of Giselle while she was a student and later joined the company after graduation. Cassie was with the Roanoke Ballet Theatre for three seasons before she moved to Utah and has been dancing with the Salt Lake Ballet Cooperative since.

Lauren Cheree

After enjoying his last experience, Lee Wailes is grateful to be invited back to Lyrical Opera and their brilliant production of Carmen. Used to productions where is the only stage manager, and the only stage hand, he is grateful for another experience with a talented crew he can trust at his side; he likes to think the feeling is mutual. "I'd like to once again thank my friend Matilda for reaching out to me about Lyrical Opera and its opportunities. Tiaree is thrilled to be joining the Lyrical Opera Theater Team as a Lighting Tech. Tiaree has been involved with all things performing arts since she was 12 years old. She graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Theatre Arts and loves being able to put that degree to use. Tiaree has spent the last few years as a Light and Sound Technician at Desert Star Playhouse. When she isn't participating in the arts, she can be found curled up with a Dr. Pepper and a good book. Tiaree would like to thank her family for their constant support, and LOT for this incredible opportunity!"

Deborah Siddoway has been designing, creating, and fitting costumes for Lyrical Opera Theater for over 10 years. A lifelong seamstress and classically trained soprano, she has also performed in operas and concerts with the company. Her roles include Kate Pinkerton and Mama in Madama Butterfly and chorus in Carmen, Falstaff, La Traviata, and Tosca. She has soloed in concerts locally and internationally, including the Japan/Utah sister city Gala, and enjoys bringing music to senior living centers.

Daniel Perez, has served as Wigs & Makeup Artist for Lyrical Opera Theater for 4 years and is also a lead artist at Hale Center Theatre, where he designs, styles, and creates wigs. Originally from Mexico and now based in Provo, Daniel is a tenor studying with Isaac Hurtado at Utah Valley University. He has performed leading roles with Lyrical Opera Theater, including Pinkerton, Cavaradossi, and Rodolfo, and recently appeared at the Mediterranean Opera Festival in Sicily. Daniel also performs with Utah Opera and the Utah Symphony.
